Pattingham Drama

Now that lockdown is easing the drama group has begun to look at its schedule for the coming year. We are still finalising dates, times and venues, so the following may be subject to change.

We are planning a Play and a Pint evening for 29th June 2021. The event will centre on the Berthold Brecht and Kurt Weill "play with music" The Threepenny Opera which we hope to stage in November 2022.

Next production

We had originally planned to stage A Bunch of Amateurs in November 2020. Due to covid this was not possible. The production will now be staged in November 2021.

A Bunch of Amateurs - keen to boost his flagging career, fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford - only to find that this is not the birthplace of the Bard, but a sleepy Suffolk village. And instead of Kenneth Branagh and Dame Judi Dench, the cast are a bunch of amateurs trying to save their theatre from developers.

Full of plot twists and turns, quirky characters and comedy dialogue at its finest!

The read-through date is 8th July 2021 at 7.30pm in the Committee Room at Pattingham Village Hall.

Performance dates are: Wednesday 17th to Saturday 20th November at 7.30pm
