Patchwork : PDG Youth Group

History

Patchwork Drama is the youth section of Pattingham Drama Group.

We accept children and young people aged between 8- and 18-years-old.

Patchwork usually stages two productions each year, the main one being in February, and Patchwork members often perform in Drama Group productions.

Our activities include drama games and exercises, performing, collaboration with other youth drama groups and visits to the theatre. We meet on Saturday mornings at Pattingham Village Hall.

In May as part of our Shakespeare Festival, Patchwork performed Pyramus and Thisbe , the "play within a play" from A Midsummer Night's Dream. Due to the weather, the play was performed upstairs at the Pigot. We had a really great turn out, so thanks to everyone who supported this production. Pyramus and Thisbe was reprised for St Chad's church fete in July. The young performers did well in a packed village hall competing with numerous stalls and the cake stand.
In February Patchwork performed Sleeping Beauty. There were several excellent performances in the two shows. Thanks to everyone who helped stage this production.
